The second half of the season kicks off this weekend in Spielberg, with Tsolov—currently second—aiming to close the gap to the championship leader. Boya and Inthraphuvasak are also fully motivated to fight for the maximum points haul on Austrian soil and help boost the Alzira-based squad, which sits second in the teams’ standings

Just as the calendar year nears its halfway point, so too does the current FIA Formula 3 season, which now enters its second half with a visit to the Red Bull Ring. The Austrian circuit, home to the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, hosts the sixth of ten rounds scheduled for the FIA’s third-tier single-seater series. Campos Racing will be heading to Spielberg with its trio of drivers—Nikola Tsolov, Mari Boya, and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak—fully focused on scoring as many points as possible to stay among the front-runners in both the drivers’ and teams’ championships.
Following the most recent two races in Barcelona nearly a month ago, Tsolov currently sits second in the overall standings. The “Bulgarian Lion” has 79 points to his name, thanks to two victories—one in Bahrain and another in Monaco, where he also claimed pole position and the fastest lap—as well as two additional podiums in Imola and Barcelona. The Red Bull Junior driver has shown exceptional consistency in every round of the championship. In fact, he has scored points in all races except two: Sunday’s race in Melbourne, where he was hit by another car, and the first Monaco race, where a mechanical issue forced his retirement.
Boya arrives in Austria more eager than ever to shine, having just been announced as a new member of the Aston Martin F1 Driver Academy—a testament to his impressive performances and racecraft, especially when it comes to overtaking. The driver from Les earned his best result of the 2025 season so far with a third place at Montmeló. He has already pulled off some outstanding comebacks to finish in the points in a category where the margins are razor-thin.
Inthraphuvasak will aim to continue his return to points-scoring form. The Thai driver started the season strongly in Australia with a fourth and a seventh-place finish, but has since struggled in some races due to starting from midfield or the back of the grid. Known too for his impressive charges through the field, he returned to the points in Barcelona with a ninth-place finish in Saturday’s race.
Campos Racing’s strong overall performance is evident in the team’s second-place standing in the championship with 130 points.
The Red Bull Ring, located just a few dozen kilometers from Graz, was originally built in 1969. Despite undergoing several renovations—especially in the 21st century—it has retained much of the character that made it famous. The current layout measures 4.318 kilometers, meaning time gaps are extremely tight. Just a few tenths can separate pole position from spots outside the top ten. The Ams AG and Rauch hairpins, located at the end of two straights, are the main overtaking zones.
Free practice and qualifying will take place on Friday at 09:55 and 15:00 respectively. The Sprint Race is scheduled for Saturday at 10:05, while the Feature Race will take place on Sunday at 08:30. All times are in Spanish time (CEST).
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “Little by little, we’re approaching the decisive phase of the championship. These summer weeks will be key, with four rounds packed into just over a month. The two races at the Red Bull Ring will be especially important, as they could set the tone for the rest of the season. We go there with our usual goal: to score as many points as possible, race by race, without making mistakes. That’s the way to close the gap in both the drivers’ and teams’ standings, where we currently sit in second place behind the leaders.”
