Red Bull Ring Kicks Off the 2025 Eurocup-3 Season

The 2025 Eurocup-3 season is set to get underway this weekend at the iconic Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. This will be the first of eight rounds in a year where Campos Racing aims to defend its titles from the past two seasons, fielding three Red Bull-liveried cars for Jules Caranta, Ernesto Rivera, and Enzo Tarnvanichkul. Griffin Core by Campos will also field Tatuus-built machinery for Jesse Carrasquedo, Francisco Macedo, and Kacper Sztuka

After a long winter break, the engines of Eurocup-3 are ready to roar back to life. Campos Racing, the dominant force in the series' first two years, is looking to maintain its unbroken championship streak. The team secured the inaugural titles through standout performances by Esteban Masson and Christian Ho, who claimed the first two crowns in series history with Campos-run machinery.

For 2025, the Spanish team is doubling down, entering a total of six drivers: three under the Campos Racing banner and three more with Griffin Core by Campos. Jules Caranta, Ernesto Rivera, and Enzo Tarnvanichkul will fly the Red Bull colors, while Jesse Carrasquedo, Francisco Macedo, and Kacper Sztuka will take the wheel for Griffin Core by Campos.

Caranta, Rivera, and Tarnvanichkul are all making their Eurocup-3 debuts. Rivera, from Mexico, and Tarnvanichkul, from Thailand, already have experience with Campos Racing, having competed with the team in the F4 Spain series last year, where they quickly made a strong impression. Caranta, the fresh face of the group, joins the lineup after a standout campaign in French F4, where a string of victories and podiums earned him a spot in the prestigious Red Bull Junior Team.

Carrasquedo will take on his first full Eurocup-3 season, with his eyes set on the championship. The Mexican joined the series midway through last year, quickly notched his first victory, and established himself as a regular front-runner. Sztuka and Macedo, both Eurocup-3 rookies, are also expected to make a significant impact. Sztuka, a former Italian F4 champion, and Macedo, with his own F4 experience, add considerable firepower to the Griffin Core by Campos lineup.

The 2025 Eurocup-3 calendar features eight rounds, kicking off at the Red Bull Ring this weekend. The championship will then travel to Portimão on June 7-8, followed by Le Castellet on June 21-22. Monza, known as the “Temple of Speed,” hosts the fourth round in the heart of the summer. The series then heads to Assen, the “Cathedral of Motorsport,” on August 9-10, before tackling Spa-Francorchamps on September 4-5. As the season winds down, the series returns to Spain, with rounds in Jerez de la Frontera on September 20-21 and the season finale in Barcelona on November 15-16.

The Red Bull Ring, the first of the eight scoring rounds on the calendar, enters its second year as part of the Eurocup-3 schedule. Originally known as the Österreichring and opened in 1969 as a replacement for the Zeltweg airfield circuit, the Red Bull Ring retains much of the character of its original layout, despite various safety-focused modifications over the decades. The 4.318-kilometer circuit features three sectors: two straight-heavy sections with hard braking zones at Ams Ag and Rauch that encourage overtaking, and a more technical third sector. Given its alpine surroundings, weather conditions can be highly unpredictable.

Drivers will hit the track for free practice on Saturday at 08:40, with the first qualifying session set for 11:05. Race 1 follows that afternoon at 15:10, running for 35 minutes plus one lap. The second qualifying session kicks off Sunday at 09:55, with Race 2 scheduled for 14:10, also lasting 35 minutes plus one lap. Both races will be streamed live on the Eurocup-3 YouTube channel.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We’re heading into the 2025 Eurocup-3 season with great excitement. After months of hard work, it’s time to put it all into practice on track. We’ve assembled an excellent driver lineup, and once again, we aim to fight for every title this season. We have all the pieces in place to achieve our goals, and we’re looking to start strong in Spielberg to build momentum for the rest of the year.”
