The Portuguese circuit will be the first of two rounds outside Spain in this year’s championship. Strauven and Przyrowski currently sit second and third in the standings, with the lead within touching distance in their Griffin Core by Campos cars, which also top the teams’ championship. Meanwhile, Monteiro is joint-leader in the rookie standings, with Kanthan third in the same classification, both representing Campos Racing

The 2025 F4 Spain season continues its course and, in just a few days, the engines will roar once again for the third round of the calendar, taking place on Portuguese soil at the Algarve International Circuit. So far, it has been a successful campaign for Griffin Core by Campos and Campos Racing, as proven by the strong results in the opening rounds at Motorland Aragón and Los Arcos. Griffin Core by Campos will field its three single-seaters for Thomas Strauven, Jan Przyrowski and Matúš Ryba, while Campos Racing’s line-up will consist of Noah Monteiro, Vivek Kanthan and Miguel Costa.
The drivers’ standings remain extremely tight, with Strauven and Przyrowski both playing key roles. The Belgian currently lies second with 97 points, just seven shy of the championship leader, thanks to five podium finishes from six races. Strauven won the opening race in Alcañiz and was third in the weekend’s final contest. In Navarra, he never stepped off the podium, taking two second-place finishes and one third.
As for Przyrowski, the Polish driver holds the most victories so far this season with three – two at Motorland Aragón and one more at Los Arcos, where he also secured a third and a fifth place. The Griffin Core by Campos driver currently sits third in the overall standings with 90 points.
After a challenging debut at the season opener, Ryba showed his true potential in the second round, where he finished sixth in the Saturday race. With that solid foundation in place, the Slovak driver will look to continue progressing and move closer to the podium positions.
Within the Campos Racing squad, all three rookie drivers are proving their talent in this demanding series. Portuguese driver Monteiro is showing that speed runs in his veins and currently shares the lead in the rookie standings with 30 points. His best result so far is a fourth-place finish, alongside two sixth places and an eighth. Racing at home in front of his local fans, he will be one to watch.
His teammate Kanthan sits third in the rookie standings, having scored points on four occasions for a total of 26 points. With two overall top-five finishes – both at Motorland Aragón – the American will be aiming to continue his strong rookie campaign.
Brazilian driver Costa had a tougher time in Los Arcos but managed to score points twice in Alcañiz. With that in mind, he’ll be looking to return to the points while gaining valuable experience and mileage in the F4 Tatuus car.
In the teams’ standings, Griffin Core by Campos leads with 140 points, while Campos Racing holds fourth place.
The Algarve International Circuit is the most recently built racetrack in Portugal, having opened at the end of 2008. Designed by Ricardo Pina, the circuit is known for its unique character, featuring constant elevation changes and blind corners – such as the one leading onto the main straight. It hosted the Portuguese Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2020 and 2021, and has also been a venue for the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series.
According to the weekend schedule, free practice will take place on Saturday morning. The first qualifying session will begin at 13:35, followed by Race 1 at 16:20, which will last 30 minutes plus one lap. On Sunday, drivers will return to the track at 10:00 for Qualifying 2. Race 2 is scheduled for 13:05 and will run for 25 minutes plus one lap. Finally, the third and final race of the weekend will begin at 15:30, lasting 30 minutes plus one lap. All the action will be available via the championship’s official YouTube livestream. All times given are in Central European Time (CET).
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “With four victories and three outright podiums in just six races, we head to the Algarve International Circuit fully aware of the challenges posed by this track and the intense competitiveness of this championship. At the same time, we’re confident that our hard work is being reflected in the results. There’s still a long way to go, but consistency at every round is key to collecting as many points as possible and arriving at the end of the season in the strongest possible position.”
