Step by step, the Eurocup-3 season is approaching its decisive phase and the resolution of an exciting year. With September just underway, and following the recent visit to the Netherlands, the championship continues its Northern European tour, this time in Belgium. The so-called “Rollercoaster” of the Ardennes, Spa-Francorchamps, will host the sixth round of the calendar, before the season closes with the last two rounds on Spanish soil at Jerez and Barcelona.

But before looking ahead, Campos Racing and Griffin Core by Campos drivers are already performing at an excellent overall level. Rookie Ernesto Rivera sits third in the standings with 136 points. The Mexican driver, in his debut Eurocup-3 season and as part of the Red Bull Junior Team, has been one of the most pleasant surprises so far. Rivera has already claimed two victories, in Algarve and Monza, and has stood on the podium a total of four times. He will be looking to return to form after a challenging weekend in Assen.

Kacper Sztuka and Jesse Carrasquedo currently occupy fourth and fifth in the standings, both at the wheel of Griffin Core by Campos-run cars. Both the Polish and Mexican drivers have already secured victories this season, with Sztuka winning at Le Castellet and Carrasquedo at Portimão. With 128 points to his name, Sztuka has also added four more podium finishes, making him another strong contender in Belgium. Carrasquedo, known for his fightbacks, has consistently shown speed and incisiveness. He now has another chance to battle for glory at Spa-Francorchamps, a track he already knows well.

Jules Caranta and Enzo Tarnvanichkul, both racing under Red Bull colors with Campos Racing, will aim to deliver results worthy of their talent. The Frenchman scored podium finishes in the opening two rounds of the season, finishing second in Portugal and third in Austria, and has since shown consistency by regularly scoring points. Tarnvanichkul claimed his first Eurocup-3 podium at the legendary Monza circuit, where he finished third. Macedo, completing the Griffin Core by Campos line-up, has also experienced podium success in Eurocup-3 with a runner-up result at Circuit Paul Ricard.

In the teams’ standings, Griffin Core by Campos and Campos Racing currently hold second and third with 225 and 224 points respectively.

Spa-Francorchamps needs little introduction to motorsport fans. At 7.004 km in length, the Belgian circuit is renowned for its layout through forested terrain, featuring corners such as La Source, Stavelot, and Bruxelles, alongside high-speed sections like the famous Kemmel straight and the Raidillon-Eau Rouge complex. With autumn fast approaching and the area’s famously changeable weather, rain could make a surprise appearance over the two days of action.

Unlike other rounds, all on-track activity in Belgium will take place on Thursday and Friday. On the first day, the sole free practice session will be held at 17:15. On Friday, both qualifying sessions will run back-to-back from 9:45 onwards. The first race is scheduled for 14:30, with the second to follow at 18:30. All times are CET. Both races will be streamed live on Eurocup-3’s official YouTube channel.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We are eager to perform at our very best in Spa-Francorchamps, a circuit where we have always achieved excellent results. We have worked flat out since Assen and our goal is to turn that effort into strong results. With only three meetings left in the season, it will be crucial to leave Belgium as well placed as possible ahead of Jerez and Barcelona, our home circuits, to be in an optimal position to fight for the title.”
