The 2025 Eurocup-3 season is in full swing, and this coming weekend the entire Campos Racing and Griffin Core by Campos operations will travel to Circuit Paul Ricard for three more races in this ever-growing continental series. Notably, two drivers from these two squads currently sit atop the drivers’ standings: Ernesto Rivera and Kacper Sztuka. Alongside them, Campos Racing’s Jules Caranta and Enzo Tarnvanichkul, as well as Griffin Core by Campos’ Jesse Carrasquedo and Francisco Macedo, will also be looking to make their mark. It promises to be an exciting and crucial weekend, continuing the new three-race format introduced in Portugal.

So far, two rounds have taken place — at the Red Bull Ring and the Algarve circuit — out of the eight scheduled on the calendar. Rivera currently leads the drivers' championship with 66 points. The young Mexican, racing under the Red Bull banner, claimed his maiden win at the Algarve International Circuit, where he also secured a second-place finish in the opening race of the weekend. A third-place result in Spielberg has established him as one of the season’s revelations — and the best rookie on the grid.

Hot on his heels is Sztuka, who has accumulated 61 points. The Polish driver has stood on the podium three times in just five races. He finished second in the season opener in Austria, and followed it up with two third-place finishes at the Red Bull Ring.

Caranta will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions for the local crowd at Paul Ricard. The Frenchman, another rising star from the national motorsport ranks, currently holds fifth place in the standings and has already shown plenty of promise. With a second place in Portugal and a third in the season opener, there's no better place for him to chase his first victory than on home soil.

Another Mexican, Carrasquedo Jr, delivered Griffin Core by Campos its first win of the season just two weeks ago. Carrasquedo is always among the favorites, and will surely be aiming for nothing less than victory in Le Castellet — a track where he already made the podium last year.

Tarvanichkul, racing another Red Bull-liveried car alongside Rivera and Caranta, recently finished fourth at Portimão, his best result so far in his short Eurocup-3 career. The Thai driver, who has scored points on two other occasions, already knows Paul Ricard from his time in F4 Spain and could reach new milestones this weekend.

Macedo was unlucky in Portugal. The Portuguese driver crossed the line on the podium in the sprint race, only to be demoted to fourth after a penalty. Nevertheless, Macedo has already proven he has the potential to fight for podiums in this highly competitive and evenly matched series. Encouraged by his recent form, he’ll be looking to bounce back at the southern French venue.

In the teams’ standings, Campos Racing is second with 115 points, just nine behind the leaders. Griffin Core by Campos holds third place with 103 points.

Circuit Paul Ricard, located in the Marseille metropolitan area, was inaugurated in spring 1970, funded by the eponymous liquor magnate. Despite numerous modifications over the decades — including the shortening of the legendary Mistral straight — the circuit now measures 5.842 kilometers. While Portimão is known as a rollercoaster, Paul Ricard is essentially flat and is also notorious for its high temperatures at this time of year. It hosted its first Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1971, maintaining a regular presence on the calendar until 1990, and made a comeback for several seasons in the past decade.

The race weekend begins with free practice sessions on Friday at 09:45 and 13:35. On Saturday, the first qualifying session kicks off at 09:00, with the first race — 30 minutes plus one lap — set for 11:00. That afternoon, the sprint race (20 minutes plus one lap) will start at 13:35. On Sunday, the second qualifying session begins at 09:30, followed by the third and final race of the weekend at 12:30 (30 minutes plus one lap). All three races will be streamed live on the Eurocup-3 YouTube channel.

Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “We head into this third round of Eurocup-3 at Circuit Paul Ricard with great enthusiasm. Unlike Spielberg or the Algarve, which feature a lot of elevation changes, Le Castellet is a completely different track — very flat, but also fast, and it provides good overtaking opportunities. For the second event in a row, we’ll have the three-race format, which means a huge number of points are up for grabs. We were quite competitive here last year, and based on what we've seen in the early rounds, we’re confident we can keep up our strong form in France.”
