Indonesia´s Sean Gelael and New Zealand´s Mitch Evans optimistic for podium in Spielberg
Campos Racing and its duo of Sean Gelael and Mitch Evans head to the Red Bull Ring, the track originally built in 1969 in the Styrian mountains. Spielberg, playing host to the fourth round of the GP2 Series in the frame of the Austrian F.1 Grand Prix, demands medium-downforce levels and its nine corners require excellent traction and braking.
Both Gelael and Evans scored points towards both drivers´ and teams´ championships in Baku. The ultra fast Azerbaijani layout saw Evans and Gelael collecting points by finishing fifth and seventh respectively in race one. On Sunday they were taken out of podium contention following a massive car pileup at race restart. But they feel confident and ready to take on the Red Bull Ring, another extremely fast racetrack. As always, one of the key factors of the weekend will be to maximize track time and nail the setup in order to looking for a good position on the starting grid.
Practice and qualifying sessions will take place at 12.00 and 15.55 on Friday. Weekend´s feature race is due to start at 15.35 on Saturday with mandatory pit stop and tire change and race two (sprint race) is slated for Sunday at 10.25.
