Summer rush kicks off in Austria for Campos Racing

The GP3 Series resumes at Red Bull Ring after an almost two-month hiatus and Álex Palou, Konstantin Tereschenko and Steijn Schothorst eye point-paying results

Campos Racing is about to start July with a busy schedule of racing in the GP3 Series. Four rounds to be held at Red Bull Ring, Silverstone, Hungaroring and Hockenheimring are scheduled on the calendar next month and there are only a few days to go to the opening of hostilities in Austria. The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is called the “The perfect blend of adrenalin and fuel” and its 4.326 km are nice mix of fast, demanding downhill and uphill sections.

Spain´s Álex Palou, Russia´s Konstantin Tereschenko and Netherland´s Steijn Schothorst couldn´t start the season on a high note in Barcelona as they were forced to handle a tough weekend on Catalan soil. From then on, the trio of drivers and Campos Racing have been closely working together to prepare properly round two of the series. June´s collective testing at Red Bull Ring was a massive step forward for the whole team and Schothorst topped the timesheets on the second and final day. Tereschenko and Palou also set very competitive lap times.

Friday´s free practice session will serve as appetizer for Saturday racing action. Qualifying will take place at 9.45 with race one to get underway at 17.10. Finally, on Sunday, race two is due to start at 9.15.
