Rosenqvist mounts recovery drive to score points in Paris

The Swede brought eighth place home in the French capital in the Mahindra Racing-built M4 ELECTRO cars. Heidfeld finished eleventh

Mahindra Racing, whose M4ELECTRO cars are run in collaboration with QEV Technologies – in which Campos Racing forms part of the shareholding also provides its staff and technology-, scored another good amount of points at FIA Formula E’s event in Paris today.

Felix Rosenqvist and Nick Heidfeld took 11th and 12th slots on the starting grid with their qualifying laps of 1m02.012s and 1m02.158s. Rosenqvist gained a place on the opening lap and Heidfeld retained his position in 12th just when the race director declared a Full Course Yellow following an accident. After the mandatory pit stops, Rosenqvist moved up to ninth after passing José María “Pechito” López. In the dying moments, the driver of Mahindra Racing climbed to eighth after overtaking Oliver Turvey. Heidfeld took the checkered flag in 11th.

In the Drivers’ Championship standings Rosenqvist still sits third on 86 points.

The next event will take place at Berlin’s Flughafen Tempelhof on 19 May.
