The second collective preseason test of FIA Formula 2 came to an end with Campos Vexatec Racing and its drivers continuing to show strong form in Bahrain
Campos Vexatec Racing ended the second preseason test of FIA Formula 2 confirming their good Le Castellet’s performances earlier this month. Both Dallara F2 2018 cars, with Luca Ghiotto and Roy Nissany behind the wheel, have completed more than 1,700 kilometres and 330 laps around the Bahrain International Circuit.
Campos Vexatec Racing and its drivers made a strong start to the week as Ghiotto topped the morning session on Wednesday with his lap time of 1:44.042 in the morning. On the other hand, Nissany set a time of 1:45.022 on the opening day. On Thursday, lap times consistently improved and both Ghiotto and Nissany got into the 1:43’s. Luca clocked a time of 1:43.111 and his teammate bested his previous time to 1:43.971. The final day saw pretty similar lap times as Ghiotto posted a lap of 1:43.266. Meanwhile, Nissany clocked a time of 1:43.975, which was almost identical to his previous best lap.
Campos Vexatec Racing will kick off the 2018 season at Sakhir’s Bahrain International Circuit on 7-8 April.
