The iconic Spa-Francorchamps in the Ardennes Mountains plays host to round 8 of the GP2 Series, which resumes after a three-week summer hiatus
Pertamina Campos Racing will return to action in the GP2 Series next weekend at Spa-Francorchamps . The main F.1 feeder series resumes at one of the most historic venues on the calendar. In the frame of the Belgian Grand Prix, Pertamina Campos Racing will enter their two Dallara-built GP2-11 cars for Indonesia´s Sean Gelael and New Zealand´s Mitch Evans.
After a three-week hiatus from on-track action, Pertamina Campos Racing continued working through summer break in order to get ready for the second part of the season. Indonesian Gelael and New Zealander Evans claimed an impressive one-two for Pertamina Campos Racing at the Red Bull Ring and, despite Hockenheim round was down to external factors beyond control of the team, they both aim high as the GP2 Series resumes. Besides, unpredictable weather could play a major role again and Pertamina Campos Racing and their drivers always know how to take advantage from difficult conditions.
Spa requires low downforce in the first part of the track (Eau Rouge and Les Combes) and through Blanchimont but the middle sector is completely different as its corners demands higher downforce levels. In short, compromise is the key factor.
Both free practice and qualifying sessions will be held on Friday at 12.00 and 15.55 respectively. Race 1 will be held on Saturday at 15.40 and Race 2 on Sunday at 10.25.
