The Spain-based team will carry out a three-day test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi
Campos Racing is pleased to announce that a young pair of drivers consisting of Niko Kari and Guilherme Samaia will join the team for the FIA Formula 2 Championship’s post-season collective test. The main F1 feeder series has scheduled a three-day test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, which brought the curtain down on the 2019 season last weekend.
Kari, aged 20, is a Finnish racing talent who claimed the SMP F4 Championship title in 2015 and was runner-up in the prestigious Zandvoort’s Masters of Formula 3 in 2016. Kari, who has been a regular participant in the GP3 Series and the FIA Formula 3 Championship enjoying success more recently, will get his first taste of his Campos Racing-run Dallara tomorrow in Abu Dhabi.
Samaia, another young driver from Brazil, will make his debut in the Dallara F2 2018 car with Campos Racing. Samaia, after a brilliant single-seater career in his home country in which was crowned Champion in the Formula 3 Brasil and the Formula 3 Light, stepped into the European scene in 2018. Samaia has contested the Euroformula Open last two years with several podium finishes to his name.
The drivers will hit the track on Thursday and the collective test will come to an end on Saturday.
