Rosenqvist and Heidfeld will contest the final round of the all-electric FIA Formula E in their Mahindra Racing-run M4ELECTRO cars
The 2017-18 FIA Formula E season comes to an end in New York City next weekend. New York, sometimes called “The World’s Real Capital”, made its first appearance on the calendar with another two-race event last year. It won’t be an exception in 2018 as New York will drop the curtain once again.
Mahindra Racing, whose M4ELECTRO cars are run in collaboration with QEV Technologies – in which Campos Racing forms part of the shareholding also provides its staff and technology, will line up their cars for Felix Rosenqvist and Nick Heidfeld. Rosenqvist currently sits fifth in the Drivers’ standings with 2 wins to his name. On the other hand, Heidfeld lies tenth after two consecutive points-paying finishes in Berlin and Zurich.
Unlike 2017, the venue is expanded from 2017 and the track now covers 2.373 km with 14 corners around the Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
Saturday’s race 1 will take place at 15.33 (local time) with race 2 scheduled on Sunday at 15.03 (local time).
