The FIA Formula E heads to Chile with Mahindra Racing driver Rosenqvist in top spot in the standings with two wins to his name. Heidfeld sits seventh and Mahindra Racing tops the Teams’ classification
Mahindra Racing, whose cars are run in collaboration with Campos Racing, is keen to defend FIA Formula E Championship lead in Chile. The Santiago Street Circuit hosts the third round of the season and Felix Rosenqvist and Nick Heidfeld should be considered favourites with their Mahindra Racing-entered M4ELECTRO once again.
Both drivers made a strong start to the season in Hong Kong and Morocco. Rosenqvist secured the first win of the season for Mahindra Racing in Asia after setting pole position in qualifying. Sweden’s Rosenqvist scored a second win in Marrakech in dominating fashion to take points lead (54 points). German Heidfeld also visited the podium by finishing third in the first race of the season and sits 7th on 21 points. Mahindra Racing lies first in the Teams’ Championship on 75 points.
The 1.53 mile-track takes place along the Avenue Santa Maria before the river Mapocho. Other iconic places such as Plaza Baquedano and Forestal Park are also included before returning to the start/finish line.
The qualifying session will take place 12.00 (local time) next Saturday with Super Pole scheduled at 12.45 (local time). Finally, the Santiago e-Prix is due to start at 16.03 (local time).
