Flörsch and Deledda put in solid performance on Sunday

Both drivers moved up through the field in Race 2 in their Campos Racing-entered Dallara F3 cars

Campos Racing completed another promising day of racing in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with their drivers showing competitive pace throughout race 2. German female racer Sophia Flörsch and Italian driver Alessio Deledda gained many places from the back of the field. Their teammate Alex Peroni, who brought home a brilliant third-place finish yesterday, couldn’t make to the end as its engine lost power.

Peroni kept his rivals at bay when the lights went out. The Aussie driver started from 8th on the grid and moved past Logan Sargeant shortly after. With no less than ten cars running nose to tail, another exciting ending was expected. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, Peroni stopped on the track in lap 10 when he was challenging for another podium result.

Meanwhile, both Flörsch and Deledda were passing and coming through the field. Despite two safety car periods at the end, they didn’t prevent them to charge in the final laps. Flörsch crossed the finish line in 16th place with Deledda finishing five places further adrift.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship will remain at Red Bull Ring for its Round 2 next weekend.
