Final GP2 Series stop before the summer break in Germany

Pertamina Campos Racing duo of Indonesia´s Sean Gelael and New Zealand´s Mitch Evans heads to Hockenheim with podium in sights

Pertamina Campos Racing will contest the final round before GP2 Series´ four week summer break at Hockenheim. The iconic racetrack situated in the Rhine valley returns after a one-year absence once again in the frame of the German Grand Prix.

The Hockenheimring track features 17 corners with a good mix of different challenges. It is a real compromise in terms of set-up but both braking and traction are critical and demands good levels of it from cars and tires. Besides, it requires high downforce despite most of the corners aren´t particularly fast.

Indonesia´s Sean Gelael and New Zealand´s Mitch Evans aim to continue their strong run on German soil. Evans has scored points in all but one race since Monte Carlo and remains in title contention with still five venues to go. On the other hand, Gelael stepped onto the podium at the Red Bull Ring and eyes points in Germany.

As usual, Friday´s practice session takes place at 12.00 before heading into qualifying at 15.55. Race 1 (Feature race) is due to start at 15.40 on Saturday. Sprint race is slated on Sunday at 10.25.
