Deledda, Fernández and Peroni brought the second FIA Formula 3 Championship collective test to a close with competitive lap times
Campos Racing completed another positive collective testing of the FIA Formula 3 Championship at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Alessio Deledda, Alex Peroni and Sebas Fernández worked through the testing plan in order to get familiar with the new car. The three young talents are consistently getting themselves familiarized with the new Dallara F3 2019 cars and ran in dry and wet conditions.
On Tuesday, both Peroni and Fernández showed a strong pace in the morning by clocking lap times of 1m33.373s and 1m33.686s respectively. Deledda posted a personal best time of 1m35.705 but, more importantly, the three-driver line up completed almost 200 laps on the opening day. On Wednesday, lap times were quicker in the morning with Peroni posting a lap of 1m32.460s to take the fourth spot. Further adrift, Fernández finished seventh fastest with his lap of 1m32.627s. Deledda also managed to beat his previous day efforts and set a lap of 1m35.009.
The final dress rehearsal will take place at the Hungaroring on April 17-18.
Adrián Campos (Campos Racing President): “They were two productive testing days and we have been among the fastest. The most important thing is we completed a remarkable preseason testing and we now are nearing a positive conclusion in Hungary. We are looking forward to contesting the season opener Grand Prix!”
