Campos Racing to add another positive chapter at Monza

The decisive moment of the season comes at Monza as the fast Italian track will play host to the antepenultimate round of the GP3 Series. Palou, Schothorst and Tereschenko expect to continue success

The GP3 Series will enter a decisive phase at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza as it is the last stop of the European campaign. Sepang, which is a new addition to the GP3 Series calendar in 2016, and Yas Marina will bring a close to this year´s season but before then Monza promises action-packed weekend with Campos Racing drivers eying top-ten results.

Netherlands´ Steijn Schothorst rounded off his best GP3 event at Spa-Francorchamps securing a double points scoring in the Ardennes. Schothorst made a recovery drive on Saturday to finish sixth on Saturday and then brought a 7th-place home on Sunday. Spain´s Álex Palou climbed onto the second step of the podium at Silverstone and the young Spanish ace again proved to be competitive last weekend despite he couldn´t score points. On the other hand, Konstantin Tereschenko aim in on points as well and the Russian is absolutely committed to achieving that goal.

Monza features high speeds and slow chicanes but it demands cars to be set up with low downforce. As a result, drivers and engineers always focus on a compromise with set-up.

Friday is devoted to free practice with a session taking place at 17.50. Then, on Saturday morning the qualifying session is due to start at 09.45 with race 1 at 17.15. Finally, on Sunday race two is slated at 09.15.
