Campos Racing sets ambitious goals for Monte Carlo

Boschung and Visoiu will compete on the tortuous streets of Monaco in their Campos Racing-entered Dallara cars

Campos Racing and its duo of Ralph Boschung and Robert Visoiu head to Monte Carlo as the FIA Formula Two Championship will be entering round 3. The narrow course laid out in the streets of the Principality is not just one of motorsport’s biggest and toughest events of the season but Formula 2’s most famous venue in the frame of the Grand Prix of Monaco.

Glamour and driver focus reach the peak and Campos Racing and its two young aces are ready to battle for top FIA Formula 2 championships honors. Romanian Visoiu was confirmed to partner Boschung earlier this week and they are a strong driver line-up to shine. Robert has plenty of Monaco experience from previous seasons and Ralph, despite it will be his first outing through the streets of Monte Carlo, is delivering extremely positive performances in the series. Recently, Boschung set the fastest lap of the race in Barcelona.

The Monegasque street circuit has the lowest average speed and tire degradation of the season. Besides, teams run the highest downforce configuration possible and qualifying will be more crucial than ever as overtakes are particularly risky.

As usual, qualifying will be split into two groups on Thursday at 16.15 and 16.39. The feature race will take place on Friday, unlike previous weekends, at 11.30. Race 2 is scheduled on Saturday at 16.10. Times are local.
