Both Formula feeder series recently announced their opening eight rounds on European soil
Campos Racing will get back into action next July as the FIA Formula 2 and the FIA Formula 3 championships announced yesterday a revised eight-round calendar following the global COVID-19 pandemic. The opening rounds of the season, as further venues are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, will take place alongside Formula 1.
The season opener is scheduled at the Red Bull Ring on 3-5 July, which also will host the second round the following weekend. Both feeder series will head to Budapest in mid-July with Silverstone hosting two other events. Later, the FIA F2 and the FIA F3 will visit Barcelona, Spa-Francorchamps and Monza. As stated above, the FIA Formula 2 and the FIA Formula 3 will be joining Formula 1 at all European rounds.
Campos Racing will line up a two-car entry for Jack Aitken and Guilherme Samaia in the FIA Formula 2 championship with Alex Peroni, Alessio Deledda and Sophia Flörsch defending its colors in the FIA Formula 3.
Adrián Campos (President of Campos Racing): “After a three-month hiatus due to COVID-19 pandemic, it is a great pleasure to have the confirmation of the opening rounds of the season. Unfortunately, our races will be run without public but we are sure our fans, as passionate as we are, will be watching all the action on TV and they will be enlivened with the usual closely-fought battles of these championships. On our side, as always we will give our best in order to provide our drivers with a competitive package at every Grand Prix.”
