The Spanish outfit heads to Russia with newcomer David Schumacher joining full-season drivers Alessio Deledda and Sebas Fernández
The eight-event season of the FIA Formula 3 Championship will come to an end this weekend at Russia’s Sochi Autodrom. The season finale double-header of the Formula 1 feeder series will see Campos Racing entering their three-car assault for Alessio Deledda, Sebastián Fernández and newcomer David Schumacher, who is replacing the injured Alex Peroni this weekend.
Deledda and Fernández expect to score their best result of the season at Sochi taking advantage of their experience throughout the season in their Campos Racing-run Dallara F3 2019 cars. Schumacher will get his first taste of the high-powered Formula 3 car on Friday and he will focus on learning as much as possible on the F1 support bill.
The Sochi Autodrom is characterized by its smooth surface and unusual layout and, as always, a high degree of track evolution is expected. In total, there are twelve right and six left-hand corners.
Friday’s free practice and qualifying sessions will take place at 07.20 and 12.00. Race 1 is scheduled at 09.15 on Saturday with Sunday’s race 2 at 08.55. All times are local (GMT+2).
