Norris topped timesheets on day one with Pulcini also giving a strong performance on Formula 2 debut to put the car in the top-ten
The 2017 FIA Formula 2 season concluded for Campos Racing with a three-day collective testing at the Yas Marina Circuit. From Thursday through Saturday, three different drivers were behind the wheel of the Campos Racing-run cars: Briton Lando Norris, Italian Leonardo Pulcini and Mexican Michael Dörrbecker.
Norris, who entered the final round of the season with Campos Racing and shortly after driving the McLaren F1 car, led the way for the Spain-based team by clocking a lap time of 1:49.084, the fastest on Thursday. On the other hand, Dörrbecker posted a lap of 1:51.932 on his first outing. On Friday, Campos Racing had the same pairing with Norris always making it into the top-five and improving his previous personal best: 1:49.005. Dörrbecker also improved his pace and set a lap of 1:51.864.
Finally, on Saturday, Pulcini joined Norris. The former Euroformula F3 Open champion finished ninth in the morning and clocked a time of 1:49.547. Norris continued in the same vein.
