Deledda, Fernández and Peroni end FIA Formula 3 preseason testing at the Hungaroring and they are ready for the long-awaited season opener round in Barcelona
The FIA Formula 3 preseason testing has come to an end today at the Hungaroring, in which was the final dress rehearsal before the season start next month. Campos Racing entered its three Dallara F3 2019 cars for Alessio Deledda, Sebas Fernández and Alex Peroni, who carried out a promising testing with all going according to plan at the high-downforce track.
On Wednesday, Spaniard Fernández clocked a time of 1m32.204s in the afternoon to be the fastest of the Campos Racing-run cars. His best effort in the morning was a mere three thousandths of a second slower. On the other hand, Peroni posted a lap time of 1m32.941s and Deledda – on his debut at the circuit described as the Monaco without the walls- set a lap of 1m33.918s. Today, Fernández spearheaded the charge for Campos Racing once again with a lap of 1m31.442s in the morning. Australian Peroni ended the day with a lap of 1m31.530s to his name and Deledda clocked a time of 1m33.320s.
Campos Racing will now focus on drawing conclusions from the preseason testing to prepare properly the first round of the season, which will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, on May 11-12.
