Campos Vexatec Racing announces Luca Ghiotto for Formula 2 assault

Ghiotto will join the Spain-based to drive one of their Dallara F2 2018 in the FIA Formula 2 Championship

Campos Vexatec Racing is pleased to announce the 22 years old Italian Luca Ghiotto, as one of its drivers for the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Following to a remarkable Karting and junior Formulas career, Luca came to the Formula One paddock attention in 2015, by achieving five wins in the 2015 GP3 Series, breaking the record for the number of pole positions and fastest laps in a season, narrowly missing out on the title to Esteban Ocon, after losing out to the Frenchman at the final race of the season.

2015 GP3 runner-up, Luca, became a GP2 race-winner in his 2016 rookie season, before the series was rebranded for 2017. Last year he has been a regular front-runner in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, finishing 20 races inside the top 10 and closing his campaign fourth in the Drivers’ Championship with three podium finishes and one win in his Monza home GP. His 2017 FIA Formula 2 team won the Team Championship, also thanks to Luca’s contribution to the specific team standing.

The agreement between Campos Vexatec Racing and Luca Ghiotto has been possible also thanks to the support of Vexatec AG (, a Swiss high technology sportswear manufacturer founded by the Swiss Italian entrepreneur Salvatore Gandolfo. Mr. Gandolfo and his team which is very experienced in international marketing, media and licensing strategies, will bring in also this strengthen to the sponsorship of Campos Vexatec Racing and Luca Ghiotto in their 2018 campaign. During the FIA Formula 2 season, the product of Vexatec will be used and developed by the drivers as an high tech device to get the maximum out from fitness and training.The first collective test in preparation of the new season will take place on March 6-7-8 at Le Castellet (France). Campos Racing and Giotto are already in full swing to prepare their first outing with new Dallara F2 2018 car next month.
