Peroni, Fernández and Deledda head to Great Britain as the FIA Formula 3 season reaches its halfway point this weekend
Campos Racing will contest the fourth round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, which will take place at Silverstone. The Spanish outfit will enter their three-car assault for full-season drivers Alex Peroni, Sebastián Fernández and Alessio Deledda.
Australian Peroni scored his first points of the season in Le Castellet with an eighth place finish in race one. Spaniard Fernández and Italian Deledda are still looking to secure points-paying positions. Despite the Austrian venue was a tough time, having gone past that period the trio of Campos Racing has a renewed spirit coming into the weekend.
Silverstone’s layout consist of 18 corners and, despite its flowing nature, is one of the most technically demanding circuits on the calendar. Besides, the circuit was completely resurfaced a mere fortnight before the British Grand Prix. Therefore, the drivers and engineers are stepping into the unknown this weekend.
Both free practice and qualifying sessions will take place at 08.35 and 16.50 on Friday. Saturday’s race 1 is scheduled at 09.25 with race 2 taking place at 08.35 on Sunday. All times local (GMT+1).
