Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Jesse Carrasquedo Jr. will join its Formula 4 Spain roster to contest the 2022 season with the team. New signing Carrasquedo Jr. is the fifth driver confirmed after previously announced Filip Jenić, Georg Kelstrup, Hugh Barter and Nikola Tsolov. It is an extremely young line-up in terms of average age but at the same time they are five very talented drivers with huge racing prospects for the future. Campos Racing will be entering five new halo-shod Tatuus T-021 cars.

Carrasquedo was born in León (Mexico) and he will make his official debut in the Formula 4-based racing series a few days after turning 15. His natural racing talent drew the attention of Sergio “Checo” Pérez, who was a Campos Racing driver during his career in GP2 Series, and Toño Pérez, who guided his first steps in motorsport and closely follows his racing career. Another former Campos Racing driver, Marc Gené, paved the way for Carrasquedo Jr. arriving in the Spanish team. Finally, Campos Racing has extensively worked with the Mexican talent through its Campos Academy during the last year to make as smooth as possible his transition from karting into single-seater racing.

Campos Racing and its five drivers will contest the F4 Spain’s season opener this weekend at Algarve International Circuit

Jesse Carrasquedo (Campos Racing driver of F4 Spain): “It’s a pleasure to announce my signing to contest the Formula 4 Spain Championship. Since last year, I have been working to step into single-seater racing with Campos Academy and I can’t wait until to start racing. I’m very pleased with the chance and help I got from them because I think we can achieve great success together. Just don’t miss our races because there will be plenty of fun! I will push very hard as I feel honored to represent my country, my team and all those supporting me in motorsport. Our goal is to fight for the championship and give our best. As hard as possible. We won’t give up. See you on track!”
