The Mexican will compete in the 2024 F4 Spain championship after becoming the latest addition to the Valencia-based racing team
Griffin Core by Campos are pleased to confirm that Ernesto Rivera will take part in the 2024 F4 Spain season, in which he will be at the wheel of one of their Tatuus-built cars in the category that serves as a gateway for young talents on their way to Formula 1. The Mexican driver joins a roster of emerging talents that already includes Peruvian Andrés Cárdenas and Polish Jan Przyrowski, who were also announced recently.
Rivera was born in Mexico City on December 1, 2008, and almost immediately after debuting in karting, he began collecting victories and triumphs. Mainly focused on competitions held in the United States, Rivera became champion of SKUSA Winter Series in X30 Junior category and also won at SKUA SuperNationals in KA100 Senior Class in 2023. In addition, Rivera finished second in the Senior Max category of Rotax US Trophy last season. Undoubtedly, they are excellent credentials before his imminent debut in one of the most competitive and prestigious Formula 4-based championships on the international stage.
The 2024 F4 Spain season will kick off at Navarra Circuit on 10-12 May. After two events abroad, which are scheduled at Algarve (7-9 June) and Paul Ricard (5-7 July), the series will be back to Spain at Motorland Aragón (26-28 July). After the summer break, the season will resume in Cheste (13-15 September). Jerez (4-6 October) will host the sixth round with the season finale taking place in Barcelona (8-10 November).
