The Peruvian talent already finished in the top-three among the rookies with his maiden overall win and podium finishes to his name during his first season in single-seater racing
Griffin Core by Campos is pleased to announce that Andrés Cárdenas will join its driver line-up to contest the 2024 F4 Spain Championship season. Cárdenas becomes the first driver announced for next year in which the Spanish-based racing team will fight to continue being a force in the series.
The young gun was born in Lima (Peru) on 15 May 2008. The Peruvian driver has made history for his country as a karting driver winning the Rotax Max Challenge Perú and finished Vice-Champion in the Panamerican ROK Cup Challenge. When he moved to Europe, his list of achievements continued growing. He was runner-up in the Champions of the Future Winter Series in 2022, besides he also won the gold medal in the FIA Motorsport Games 2022.
Despite missing the season’s opener this season due to being too young, Cárdenas made an immediate impression by scoring his first points at Motorland Aragón. Peru’s young gem scored his maiden race win in Jerez, also finishing second that same weekend. Cárdenas was a solid point-paying positions finisher and he was 8th overall at the end of the season and the 3rd-best rookie driver classified behind teammates Enzo Deligny and Matteo De Palo.
Griffin Core by Campos is set to make further announcements regarding its 2024 driver line-up in due time.
