The French driver, one of his country’s brightest hopes in single-seater racing, will embark on an ambitious campaign alongside Campos Racing. He becomes the first driver confirmed for next year by the reigning FIA Formula 3 Teams’ Champion

Campos Racing is proud to announce the signing of Théophile Naël, who will contest the upcoming FIA Formula 3 season at the wheel of one of the team’s cars. Naël represents a valuable addition to the Alzira-based outfit, which will enter 2026 aiming to defend the Teams’ Championship title it secured in 2025. Without a doubt, this title marked another milestone in the squad’s already long and successful 27-year history in international motorsport.
Naël, whose full name is Théophile Guy Yannick, was born on June 22, 2007, in Saint-Étienne. He built a strong foundation in karting, claiming French Championship titles in the Cadet class (2018) and X30 Junior (2020). He made his single-seater debut just weeks after turning fifteen, and his talent was immediately evident. In 2023, Naël was crowned F4 Spain Champion thanks to eight wins and six additional podium finishes.
The next step in his career, Formula Regional, also brought victories and podiums both in the European and Middle East series. In 2025, he graduated to FIA Formula 3, where as a rookie he quickly established himself among the most impressive drivers on the grid, shining with second-place finishes in Barcelona and Silverstone and a third in Melbourne. Altogether, it has been an excellent prelude that sets the stage for what promises to be an even stronger 2026 campaign for the young French talent.
The category has scheduled three official collective post-season tests in preparation for 2026: Jerez (October 7-8), Barcelona (October 15-16) and Imola (October 21-22). These will provide the team with the perfect opportunity to fine-tune all details ahead of the new season’s challenges.
Adrián Campos (Team Principal of Campos Racing): “On behalf of the entire team, I want to give a warm welcome to Théophile. He is a driver we have closely followed since his debut in single-seaters due to his outstanding record. He is an F4 Champion and has shown a remarkable ability to adapt quickly to any category, even climbing the podium as a rookie in all of them. In short, I am certain he will bring a great deal to Campos Racing, and we will work together at the highest level to ensure next season is a tremendously successful one for everyone.”
Théophile Naël (Campos Racing Driver in FIA Formula 3): “I’m really happy to be joining Campos Racing for the 2026 FIA F3 season! It’s a team I’ve been racing against for years and I have always respected their professionalism and admired their work. To now have the chance to represent their colors is a real honor. I can’t wait to take on this challenge and go hunting for the championship in 2026.”
