Danish-German driver Oliver Goethe will make his debut in the FIA Formula 3 Championship by replacing injured Hunter Yeany at the Hungaroring, which hosts the sixth round of the 2022 season in the frame of the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. Yeany was forced to withdraw from Spielberg when he sustained a broken wrist in race 1, when another rival crashed into him. Despite Yeany managed to make it to the finish, he was obviously unable to start on Sunday.

Goethe is a driver with a promising future ahead, besides he comes from a family actively involved in motorsport. After making his debut on the international karting scene in 2019 when Goethe raced in the European and World Championships in the OK category, he stepped up to single-seater racing later that season in the F4 Spain Championship. The ROFGO Junior driver has also competed in the Formula Regional European and Asian Championships and claimed a class win on his sports car debut earlier this year at the Dubai 24H.  He is currently leading the Euroformula Open championship with eight wins and four podium finishes to his name.

Campos Racing wishes Hunter a speedy recovery and a strong debut for Oliver in the FIA F3, in which is expected to be a strong, productive weekend.

Oliver Goethe (Campos Racing driver of FIA Formula 3): “I’m extremely excited to make my FIA F3 debut this weekend with Campos Racing! I can’t wait to try out the car and compete amongst the best! It’ll be a great learning experience and I will make the most of it.”
