Campos Racing is pleased to announce Lorenzo Colombo for the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Championship season. Colombo will be joining Amaury Cordeel who was also confirmed yesterday by Campos Racing with another of their Dallara F3 2019 cars.

Colombo, who was born in Legnano (Lombard,) is also an extremely fast and competitive driver. Following a successful karting career in which he was crowned Champion in the Trofeo Nazionale Easykart in 2012, Colombo has been a regular title contender in every single category. The Italian talent ranked third in the 2017 Italian F.4 Championship scoring two wins and eight podiums. Besides, Colombo also finished fourth and fifth overall in the Formula Renault Eurocup with an impressive achievements of six wins and twelve podiums.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship will be another milestone in his racing career but Colombo’s prospects for the season look extremely promising looking back at his results in other series even when he was a rookie driver.

Adrián Campos Jr. (Sporting Director of Campos Racing): “I would like to welcome Lorenzo to the team on behalf of all Campos Racing and especially my father Adrián Campos. We have been trying to make this partnership possible in the past seasons without success for a number of different reasons. Lorenzo has always been very close to the team and he was that kind of drivers my father followed since we first met already four years ago. I am sure Lorenzo will manage to demonstrate during this season why my father believed in him and rated him as an extremely talented driver of huge potential.”

Lorenzo Colombo (F3 Driver of Campos Racing): “I am extremely excited to be joining the FIA F3 grid with Campos Racing. I can’t wait to start working with the team in order to learn as much as I can before the start of the season. I`m feeling ready to give my best as a racing driver.”
