Mexican driver becomes the latest addition to the Alzira-based squad for next season. León, alongside the already confirmed Nikola Tsolov, will form a young but highly talented pairing ready to fight for the most ambitious goals in such a competitive championship as FIA Formula 2
Campos Racing is delighted to announce that Noel León will join its driver line-up for the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season. The confirmation of the Mexican driver’s signing comes after Nikola Tsolov’s, creating a tandem of youthful drivers with remarkable résumés across various single-seater categories.
León, 20, was born in Monterrey, a city with a rich motorsport heritage. He began karting in 2013, achieving strong results until 2017. He then made the step up to single-seaters, competing in the F4 championship in his home country. In 2019-20, he claimed the United States Formula 4 Championship title, taking two wins and eight podiums. León added a second major crown to his career in 2023, clinching the Euroformula Open title with seven wins and sixteen podiums. He capped a brilliant year by also finishing third in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix.
The young Mexican talent has spent the past two seasons competing in FIA Formula 3, impressing from his rookie campaign with three podium finishes, including a second place at the Hungaroring. In 2025, he once again stood on the rostrum in the category.
