Campos Racing is delighted to announce that Nikola Tsolov will race for the Alzira-based team in the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship. The young Bulgarian talent takes another significant step forward in his career after claiming the runner-up position in the recently concluded 2025 FIA Formula 3 season. Known as the “Bulgarian Lion,” Tsolov will continue to represent the Red Bull Junior Team in a Campos Racing F2 car.

Born in Sofia on December 21, 2006, Tsolov built an impressive track record in both national and international karting before moving up to single-seaters with Campos Racing in 2022. He was the outright dominator of the F4 Spain season that year, clinching the title with thirteen victories and a further five podium finishes from just twenty-one races.

Tsolov and Campos Racing were reunited ahead of the 2025 FIA Formula 3 campaign, this time with Tsolov already a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. The partnership immediately bore fruit: two victories, four additional podiums, and consistent points-scoring results ultimately earned him the runner-up spot in the standings. His efforts also played a key role in securing Campos Racing’s first-ever FIA Formula 3 Teams’ Championship title.

With the current season coming to an end in early December, the FIA Formula 2 has chosen the Yas Marina Circuit to host a three-day collective test from December 10 to 12, providing the perfect opportunity to begin laying the foundations for 2026.

Adrián Campos (Campos Racing Team Principal): “We are extremely proud to continue working with Nikola for another year. He is very much one of our own, having taken his very first steps in single-seaters with Campos Racing. In the two seasons he has raced with us, he has been a champion and a runner-up, which are clear credentials of his outstanding talent. A Formula 2 car is, of course, another level, but despite his youth he already has a wealth of single-seater experience, displays great maturity, and we are confident he will also make his mark in FIA Formula 2.”

Nikola Tsolov (Campos Racing Driver in FIA Formula 2): “I am extremely happy to take the next step in my career and move up to FIA Formula 2 with Campos Racing once again. Together we have worked very hard and achieved success in both F4 Spain and FIA Formula 3, which gives me great confidence heading into next season. This is another step closer to my dream, and I will be pushing harder than ever to deliver strong results.”
