Campos Racing has successfully completed the first FIA Formula 2 collective testing of the season in Bahrain. Ralph Boschung and Gianluca Petecof completed an intense three-day test in their Campos Racing-run Dallara F2 2018 cars with the team executing its programme as planned.

Boschung and Petecof have extensively worked with their engineers carrying out different qualifying and race simulation runs and Campos Racing is pleased with the progress made during the three days. Swiss Boschung ended the 2020 season happy in terms of pace and have continued the same solid performance this week. Brazilian Petecof, who is making his FIA F2 debut with Campos Racing, was surprised at how quickly he has adapted as his lap times have proven.

Campos Racing’s Dallara cars ticked over the 250-lap mark at the Bahrain International Circuit. Boschung clocked a best lap time of 1m42.427s and Petecof set a personal best of 1m43.219s.

The curtain-raiser event will take place in Sakhir on 26-28 March with another collective testing to be held in Barcelona on 21-23 April just before the European phase of the season.
